A Movie Based On True Story That Inspires Me :)

Filmplakat: Patch Adams (1998) - Filmposter-Archiv

Do you love to watch movies guys? I bet most of you really really really really enjoy watching movies, dramas and so on during your leisure time and can even name every characters, favourite parts, etc. that you had watched right? That is absolutely contrast with me as I do not really like to watch movies or even the TV! I don't know whether it is kind of rare or weird for you but it is the fact because I easily felt boring when I watched them. But, there was a movie that I had watched recently entitled Patch Adams and guess what guys.... I was able to finish the movie ! *big claps* (haha) It is based on true story and absolutely inspired me a lot and gave me an injection towards being a successful doctor soon ! This is really amazing :)

Okay guys, lets me summarize the story.............

------Patch Adams (Robin Williams) is a simple man before entering a mental asylum, where he started all the jokes that led to touching lives of sick people. At the peak of his life, wherein he was still unable to find the missing piece of his own puzzle, he decided to disguise a mentally-retarded man to explore the peculiar world of the institution. With the purpose of getting to know the needs and characteristics of patients; he wants to be a medical doctor, moreover he wants to help other people.

Upon entering the asylum, truth slapped him on his face that such people called "doctors" were mistreating their patients. Conventionally, they just cure these people for the sake of doing their jobs, ignoring the most important needs of these ill people, which are guidance, understanding and acceptance.

Frase de película: Patch Adams | RedNote

This moved him to deviate from the line. He started to know the patients and made him close to them through his humour. Alarming the hospital officials, thus making consecutive steps to stop Hunter spreading craziness in the institution. He sings, dances, acts and touches patients every single day. Making fun of it but seriously concerned about each patient who smiles but deep inside cries. He talked to every patient treating them as normal beings and praising them through funny ideas and thoughts. Narrating to them all the beautiful things in the world including love.

But as a saying goes, beginning has its end. This wonderful beginning was ended and leaving memories to these patients was a man with an awesome passion and dedication not to a job but to a work and vocation. He was thrown out of the asylum upon knowing that he was not really sick. To continue his mission, he enrolled at Virginia Medical College and studied. After finishing his course, he founded the Genduit Clinic, wherein patients were cured through the use of humour. This peculiar man, however, was made accountable by experts in the field of psychiatry for illegally treating patients.

Sometimes it is better to be different. It takes a lot but it also gains a lot. Taking risk is like putting your foot at the edge of a high mountain with two chances of staying alive or falling dead. Yet its result may change not just your life but lives of people who need that foot to be a better and meaningful individual. The dedication, passion and courage of Hunter Patch Adams are traits that cannot be discounted, not mentioning the humour that he shared to his patients. It sounds silly but that is a truth that serves as an inspiration and motivation to physicians around the globe. ------

And, that's it ! So guys, can you found what are the moral values from the story that makes me really inspires and quite changing my life actually ? Hmmm let me list nine of them.

1. Compassion and ultimately wins heart
"you treat a disease you win you lose, you treat the person I guarantee you will win no matter what the outcome"

2. Know the job
"doctor's job is improving the quality of life not only delaying the death so focus on the core job"

3. Right focus
"if you focus on the problem you can't see the solution. so focus on the solution"

4. See what others ignore
"see what no one else sees. see what everyone chooses not to see... out of fear, conformity or laziness. rise above mediocrity"

5. You are the captain of your destiny
"now you have the ability to keep me from graduating. you can keep me from getting the title and the white coat. but you can't control my spirit gentleman"

6. Be fearless
"instead of locking yourself up in your cage of fears and crying over past heartaches, embarrassment and failure, treat them as your teacher for improvement and success. every failure has seed of success built in it"

7. Own yourself
"you are the first buyer of yourself"

8.Cheer up others
"when people feel down and low, help them to move up. don't go down with them.they will pull you down further and and both of you will end up feeling inferior. motivation is contagious so do de-motivation"

9. Little thing for you can be big things to others
"small gestures has big impact"

From this story, I really hope that someday I can also use it to help and touch other lives.  And it is very worthy of praises and compliments. Let us be another Patch Adams and at the same time find our own hero who would make our lives more exciting and more meaningful. Feel free to spend your time watching this movie and share your opinion later on about it :)

"Our destiny lies in our hands. Some can turn it up while some can turn it down. But remember that we are the only one who can turn it around" -Dr. Patch Adams

How My Life Would Be Different if I Have 4 Arms :)

This is my favorite blogger, Irine Nadia with her beloved family! They are such the perfect creatures that make me adore them badly guys.... Physically they have two arms, two legs, two eyes, a mouth, a nose, two ears, etc. They are just similar to other human being without anything more or less right? Why are they so special in my eyes? But guys..... why I am describing their physical huh?

Out of the blue, something popped in my mind! What if I have four arms instead of two? Will anyone adore me? (haha) or even insult me? Why arms? Because arms are parts of the body that we often use in our daily movements and of course they have many roles right? And, can you imagine how my life would be as it is something extraordinary and no one else have the specialty. Sounds rare isn't it? So, let's discover my fantasy world, how my life would be different if i have four arms!

3d person with four arms trying to talk on five different phones ...

The pros are......

  •  I can do a lot of assignments at the same time

Had you ever experience the moment when you have many assignments to do and all of them must be submitted within a week. Plus, the worse part is your class schedule for the week was really pack! How on earth you can finish them on time but me, with my four arms I will able to finish them in a short time as each of my arms can choose which works it wants to do! Maybe chemistry or biology or physics? (haha) For sure I will be the apple of my lecturers eyes as I always be the first assignment submitted on their table and get the highest marks among others. It's so cool !

  • I can finish cooking my lunch in a short time

When my mother wasn't at home in the afternoon, she will call me at 12,30 pm asking me to cook for lunch and after an hour she will call me again to ensure the lunch is ready. An hour guys! Fortunately with my four arms, I can even finish my cooking less than half an hour and wait for another half an hour for my mother to call me while shaking foot or continue reading my novel. Can you imagine that I can wash the rice, cut the anion and vegetables, fry the chicken or fish at the same time?

  • I can hold all my shopping bags by myself

Women are often said to be a shopaholic as once they entered the shopping complex they tend to buy everything! I am pretty sure not all but most of them and of course I am not excluded. I love to update my outfits collections and make sure that they are all up to date. So, with my four arms I will not face any difficulties to bring all the shopping bags by myself and I don't have to ask anyone to accompany me.

  •  I can be an expert goalkeeper

I love to play soccer with my friends during our leisure time as the sport is quite challenging instead of playing netball, badminton, etc. My role in the sport is being the goalkeeper so using my four arms, I will be become an expert one as each of my arms will help me to catch the ball coming from every edges perfectly.

  • I can drive my manual transmission car safely

What do I mean by "drive my manual transmission car safely"? It means that by using my four arms I will control the car in the expert way as two of my arms will hold the steering, one arm controls the gear and another arm will use maybe to control the windows. Awesome isn't it? So, I will not lose focus when I am driving the car.

However, the cons are.......

  • I will face difficulties to get my shirt

Normal person had only two arms and since I am extraordinary one with four arms, it is quite difficult for me to get my shirt as my shirt is of course that one with four sleeves. So, I have to wages the tailor to sew the special edition shirts for me and absolutely all of my shirts will differ with others.

  •  I will have low confidence level

I might also being so shy to going out anywhere as there are many pairs of eyes that will glue on me seeing my special four arms and of course they will look down at me for the weird extra two arms. It is very embarrassing ! It will also make me locked at home the whole day and avoid to see anyone especially the community that will talk bad about me.

  • I will have imbalance body weight

If I have four arms, the shape of my body will become abnormal and of course it will heavy at the upper part. It makes me difficult to move as it will limit my movements with the distraction of two extra arms and make me walk slowly just like the robot!

  • I will become lazy to cut my nails

I have four arms right? So, that means I will have 20 fingers to deal with and I need to cut 20 nails every week and of course I am so lazy to do that guys! It is not included my feet nails and if summed up they will become 30 nails altogether. Do imagine my laziness level by yourself okay?

  • I will be a schizophrenic

Schizophrenia is a mental disorder often characterized by abnormal social behavior and failure to recognize what is real. I might be cannot accept the facts that I have four arms or maybe do not recognize that the four arms are mine and tend to cut off two of them or maybe kill myself. Quite scary guys so please beware of me...

So guys, do you have fun discover my fantasy world? (haha) These are what I can imagine only if I have four arms although I was never wished to be one and hopefully you guys enjoyed your reading !

Tips On How To Be Confident To Speak English :)

Hi everyone!

For this entry I would like to share some useful tips to be confident to speak English although I am not that good in English but hopefully you guys found something beneficial from it :)  Maybe you can practice these tips in order to be more competent in your speech and conversations besides the tips may also help you a lot to gain your self-confidence to communicate in English better.

How to Build Confidence in Speaking English

1. Pretend to be good in communicate English well

This is one of the effective way for us in learning English as it helps to boost our confidence level! Do you know how? "You fake it till you make it". Fake? yes, fake! Just communicate in English like you are a fluent one and from that you will slowly gain the confidence as it trains you to get better every time you speak English.

2. Enhance the vocabulary
Do we have confidence to communicate in this language if  we are lack of vocabulary? Of course no as vocabulary is one of the crucial thing that we must master in learning English. We use vocabulary when we want to speak something in order to keep the conversations run smooth without any distractions and maintain our confidence level. So, you must have a lot of vocabulary and practice them daily when communicate in English to make you get used to the new words.

3. Improve pronunciation skills

There are a few ways to improve the pronunciation skills and one of them is referring to the dictionary that have the phonetics translations. It helps you to pronounce the word in the correct way and if you learn further about the International Phonetics Alphabet (IPA) you will be more well exposed to the pronunciation skills thus help you to be more confident to speak.

4. Do not afraid to make mistakes

Why must  you care too much about making mistakes even though you know it is apart of learning process that teaches you to get better and to be confident? You should be a kind of person that brave to do something and always remember that it is okay to make mistakes as you learn from it. At the end of the day, you will find yourself  - someone who is able to communicate English language in a better way without any fear of making mistakes.

Mistake Quote 2: “If you’re making mistakes it means you’re out ...

5. Get a conversation partner

This is also important for you in order to practice speaking in English as it helps you to improve your communication as it is a two way communication if you have a partner. However, you can still practice by your own by practicing to speak English in front of your relatives or in front of mirror. These may be helpful to overcome your nervousness when communicate with other people.

6. Do not too nervous to speak English

Nervous is something that is really hard to avoid as it comes naturally when we are doing something that we are not too confident or do not really get used to it. But, when speaking English you must control it to avoid from influencing the whole part of your speech or conversation. Try to pronounce word by word and it will be fine as long as people can understand you.

7. Read a lot of books and listen to radio or watch TV in English

Read books? Listen to radio? Watch TV? Come on guys these are among of the interesting things that we always do everyday right? How about changing all the habits of listening to Korean songs, watching Korean dramas or movies and read Malay novels into English one? From that, you will become get used with their way communicating to each other and the way they arrange the sentences into a proper one to be confident to speak.

8. Have a good attitude in learning English

Actually it is not only when learning English but in all subjects, we must have good attitudes but now we are talking about how to be confident to speak English so we must always think that English is something that really close to us as we had learn it since we are child. So, do not think it as another subject that requires to remember all those facts and formulas or saying that  English is very difficult one. It is absolutely wrong!

9. Start with the base

Learning process starts from the basic one and after mastering the basic, we can move on to the tougher one to enhance our knowledge in English language. From the base you slowly built day by day until you are able to write and speak English perfectly as at that time you already have a strong "root" to make the "tree" stand still.

10. Have patience and take your time

Do not rush and just take it easy. If we just only learn it once or twice and hoping to acquire it in a short time, it may be learning something else and of course not English guys! In order to learn English, you must have patience and do not easily give up as it needs a lot of practices.

Learning English is Fun
I hope this sharing will help you to improve your English because this language is not difficult as you thought as long as you trust in yourself and be confident to speak it out. The most important thing in learning is of course to practice it frequently and we also knew that practice makes perfect right? So, do enjoy yourself learning English because ENGLISH IS FUN ! Feel free to drop any comments or inquiries. Thank you for lending me your time reading this entry :)

Challenges In Acquiring English :)

I'm jealous!!!!!!!!! *rain**rain**sad face**sad face*
Don't you feel jealous when someone speaks English fluently guys?? Every single words that slip out from her/his mouth can even make me speechless. It was absolutely amazing you know. From that, I had gain my self motivation to acquire the language so I will be one of the person that can make other person speechless too (haha) But, in order to acquire this English language I had face several challenges and today I would like to share with all of you 10 of them :)

1.   Lack of confidence level

Do you think it is as easy as pie to gain the highest confidence level to communicate in others' language? I couldn't even being that confident until now and I think that is why I cannot speak the same level as Justin Bieber or Selena Gomez or Madam Shahirah as well (haha) But I think it can slowly get into me if I keep believing into myself that I am able to master the language perfectly.

... used to do to help build my confidence, and I hope it helps others

2.   Poor vocabulary

English is all about vocabulary because if we are lack of vocabulary we will face some difficulties to communicate in that language. For me, sometimes I am unable to understand certain words used by the person who absolutely fluent in English as well as the native speakers and it is indirectly may leads to several misunderstandings. Besides, I also lost my words when it comes to write or speak something in English. It really makes me frustrated guys!

3.   Wrong pronunciation of words

One of the embarrassing part is I always mispronounce certain English words which is sometimes I just pronounce it according to the way it is spelled and on the spot someone (teachers, friends, etc) will correct my mistakes with pronouncing the right one. This problem usually influences myself to continue the next sentences as I think that the mistakes will repeat again and again. Quite embarrassing right?

4.   Afraid to make mistakes

Everyone makes mistakes but it still cannot help myself to avoid from not being afraid of making mistakes because everyone will laugh and look down at me - this is my impression every time I speak English in front of other people although some of them are just same like me or maybe worse than me.

5.   Friends make fun

Not all of our friends are very supportive and being positive as most of them will mock or laugh at us when we are trying really hard to speak in English. I had experience the moment when I speak in English and someone said that I was trying to show off! Of course it is something that make me feel down and do not motivate to communicate in that language.

6.   Automatically get nervous

When starting to speak English, every part of my body will shiver and the normal 'lub dup' sound of my heartbeats changed into the rhythm that I do not even know how fast is the speed (maybe 180km/h). This situation makes me lost every single thing that I suppose to speak it out and can you imagine my nervousness level at that time? But, I always try to overcome it day by day :)

7.   Less exposed to English environment

Living in different regions with different cultures and lifestyles also effect someone's ability communicating in English. As for me, I live in Terengganu where most of us use mother tongue to communicate in daily life and my parents do not really expose me to the English environment as the community around me also quite low in English. So, I had to have my own initiative to learn it without rely onto others or something.

8.   Always think that English language is difficult

At first, I always feel that English is a difficult subject and almost same level as Chemistry or Biology as it is hard to get used with the foreign language because of a lot of vocabularies, grammars, rules and etc. Then, I started to find that it is absolutely wrong and contrast with the critical subjects as English is all about practicing every day without any deep comprehension or any calculations. Easy, isn't it?

Luci Gutiérrez, autora e ilustradora del libro English is not easy

9.   Rushing to learn the high level one

I always think that if I learn English one by one and keep repeating the easy one I will be one step behind others so I start rushing to learn the high level one such as high level words and sentences without mastering the basic one and at last I stuck in the middle of my learning.

10. Easily get stress

Stress is something usual for us as human and of course I also stressed when I am unable to write, read or speak in English well although it is my learning process. I shouldn't feel that way as it is impossible for a 1 year old baby to start running without falling many times right? It means that I must control my stress and always be patient in order to acquire English.

So, as the conclusion there are many challenges that I faced right? However, instead all of them I just keep practicing day by day as I know, practice makes perfect isn't it? So there is nothing to worry about and I just believe that I can acquire English perfectly one day :)

The New Me :)

Hi guys ! *waves hands*

My name is Che Siti Nurfaziera Che Ismail and here I’m not going to tell you everything about my life and my personal details as this entry is for “The New Me”. Of course the new me will differ with the previous one suits the sentence that we always heard, people changed. Right? To change into a better one or vice versa it depends on you but I have my own life story that I would like to share to all of you and then after all you will have a first impression towards me. I need that first impression!

Began my university life in the way that I was never expected before which is doing my premedical in TATI University College. PREMEDICAL guys ! Being a doctor was never crossed in my mind since I was a child because I hate everything related to clinics, hospitals, bloods and so on. Its killing me ! At first, the thing that I have in my head is I’m going to suffer for the entire of my life. But now back to reality that I am here so I have to accept the fact that this is the way that Allah planned for me and of course He is the best planner for every single thing in our life right?

30th September 2015. This date has its own history which is the day when I bear one of the biggest losses in my life. I lose my only brother whom I love the most in a traffic accident and in a blink of eyes it slightly changed my life. The real indescribable sadness was felt by the whole family especially my beloved parents and I cannot hold the tears from running down my cheeks watching the situation. It really hurts me.

Starting from that day, I had become a girl who does not really like to rely onto or hoping for someone as I know the pain of losing someone that I really love. So, to experience the same thing for the second time is really hard for me ( only if you can understand what I mean ). From that, I slowly gained my strength and I keep looking forward for better things yet to come and trying hard to keep all the memories he left me, deeply in my heart.

Not only that, I also started to think about my future and my parents' hope to see me becoming a successful doctor soon and following my parents' plans to further my studies in medical field was the best decision that I had made . I hope this is the way that Allah knows that I am able to go through despite of His test towards changing me into a stronger one in order to face upcoming challenging life. So cheer up and have faith ! This is the new me. The better version of me for this semester so I should be like a proton and always stay positive :)

I think my first entry may be quite boring but I hope you guys enjoyed your reading till the last sentence.

Love,

CheFaziera
